Role Overview:

As the Lead - Risk Management based in Nigeria, you will serve as the primary architect for the organizations risk governance framework. You will work closely with executive leadership and regional stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational vulnerabilities inherent in large-scale energy projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the companys growth trajectory remains resilient against market volatility and operational disruptions, directly influencing the strategic decision-making process and long-term business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks to safeguard the companys assets and reputation across all Nigerian operations.

- Direct the development of sophisticated Risk Analytics and Risk Modeling tools to provide actionable insights into market fluctuations and project-specific threats.

- Oversee Internal Control mechanisms to ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal compliance policies, minimizing exposure to operational failures.

- Lead cross-functional teams in conducting deep-dive assessments of Market Risk, ensuring that financial hedging strategies align with the companys risk appetite.

- Collaborate with senior management to translate complex risk data into clear strategic recommendations that support business growth and capital allocation.

- Establish robust reporting structures to keep stakeholders informed of emerging risks and the effectiveness of current mitigation strategies.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex risk portfolios with 18 - 23 years of professional experience in high-stakes environments, preferably within the energy or industrial sectors.

- Advanced proficiency in Risk Modeling and quantitative analytics, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into strategic business intelligence.

- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of managing diverse teams and influencing senior stakeholders in challenging, fast-paced environments.

- Strong understanding of international and local regulatory frameworks, coupled with the ability to navigate the unique operational landscape of the Nigerian market.

- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex risk scenarios to non-technical stakeholders and driving consensus on mitigation priorities.

- A Masters degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline, complemented by relevant professional certifications in risk management.
