Lead AI/ML Nigeria Lagos FTE

Job Description:

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and advanced analytics solutions to address key business challenges across multiple business units.

- Work closely with the Head of Analytics to translate business objectives into scalable machine learning and AI-driven solutions.

- Develop, test, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, NLP, computer vision).

- Partner with data engineers and data scientists to ensure data quality, pipeline efficiency, and integration with enterprise data platforms.

- Design end-to-end ML lifecycle processes-data preprocessing, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify use cases, define success metrics, and deliver measurable outcomes.

- Optimize model performance and ensure explainability, fairness, and compliance with data governance standards.

- Evaluate and implement emerging AI frameworks, libraries, and technologies aligned with the enterprise technology stack (Azure ML, Databricks, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).

- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior data scientists and ML engineers within the team.

- Develop reusable AI components, accelerators, and best practices documentation for enterprise-wide adoption.

- Support integration of AI/ML models into business applications and automation initiatives.

- Drive innovation by exploring generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and cognitive automation relevant to business operations.

- Ensure delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards in alignment with the CoE roadmap.

- 12 + Industrial Experience. 5+ years in AI/ML model development and deployment at enterprise scale.
