Role Overview:

The Sourcing Analyst would need to provide support across the Strategic Sourcing Lifecycle to the Global and Regional procurement organization.

He / she is responsible for the Set-up and Operational aspects of the Procurement Organization:

- Deliver data-driven insights to support global procurement strategies.

- Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for value creation and complexity reduction.

- Collaborate closely with global stakeholders and category teams to provide actionable recommendations.

- Support RFx events through analytics and evaluation of supplier responses.

- Conduct regular price forecasting and variance assessments to improve cost predictability.

- Translate analytics into strategic insights to enable informed decision-making and drive measurable business impact.

Key Skills Needed:

- Advanced Excel Skills and data visualization capabilities.

- Mathematical & statistical skills to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze data.

- Ability to think strategically about the information that will help stakeholders make data-driven business decisions and to communicate the value of this information effectively. For example, understanding the Commodity movement (viz. Crude, Plastic Resins), tracking those and suggesting different courses of action, to take benefit of the market movement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Analytics & Market Insights:

- Conduct detailed spend and supplier analytics to identify cost efficiency and process improvement opportunities.

- Deliver actionable insights and reports to support category strategies and sourcing decisions across regions.

- Analyze supplier markets, cost drivers, and industry trends to support negotiation and risk management.

- Identify and assess complexity drivers across categories, specifications, and processes, providing recommendations for simplification.

2. RFx Analytics & Sourcing Support:

- Support category teams in developing and analyzing RFx events (RFI, RFQ, RFP) using Ariba tools and data.

- Collaborate with the Ariba Support Team to extract, cleanse, and analyze bid data and supplier responses.

- Prepare comparative analyses, evaluation dashboards, and insights to inform supplier selection and negotiation strategies.

- Provide post-event analytics to capture savings opportunities, process efficiency, and supplier performance indicators.

3. Complexity Reduction & Value Generation:

- Partner with Global and Regional Procurement teams to identify opportunities for demand optimization and specification harmonization.

- Use data-led insights to support process simplification and enhance overall value delivery.

- Contribute analytical findings that drive category and supplier-level value initiatives.

4. Strategy Enablement & Decision Support:

- Provide analytical inputs and scenario models to support global category strategy development.

- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track procurement performance, sourcing efficiency, and value realization.

- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to align insights with business objectives.

- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for global stakeholders.

5. Budgeting & Price Forecasting:

- Conduct regular price forecasting and variance analysis across key categories to support budgeting and sourcing decisions.

- Consolidate and analyze spend data from Operating Companies (OCs) to identify trends, inflationary pressures, and cost drivers.

- Provide data-driven insights to improve cost predictability and support proactive decision-making.

6. Continuous Improvement & Collaboration:

- Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and standardization across systems and dashboards.

- Promote best practices in analytics, reporting, and decision support within the global procurement community.

- Collaborate effectively with global and regional stakeholders to drive alignment on insights and priorities.

- Identify opportunities for automation, digital enablement, and process enhancement within procurement analytics.
