Compliance & Ethics Officer
Location : Gurgaon
Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment, Monitoring & Policy Development:
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective compliance framework aligned with global and local regulations. (e.g., code of conduct anti-bribery, etc.).
- Periodically review and update policies and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to ethics and compliance.
- Monitor adherence to internal controls and investigate red flags on suspicious activities.
- Case Receive Management and evaluate & ethics complaints or whistleblower reports through internal channels.
Investigation, Reporting & Governance:
- Investigate potential violations of compliance policies and ethics standards, often in consultation with HR Director and Legal Counsel.
- Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports for senior management teams, track KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain records of compliance activities, audits, and investigations.
Ethics & Integrity:
- Foster an ethical workplace culture by addressing concerns related to fraud, corruption, or unethical behavior.
- Manage the organizations whistleblower program and investigate reported violations confidentially.
Training & Awareness:
- Develop content and conduct regular training programs for employees, vendors, third party associates on compliance, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote awareness of ethical standards and whistleblower policies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Collaborate with functions to integrate compliance into business processes.
- Advise leadership on ethical dilemmas and compliance risks in strategic decisions.
- Serving as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on compliance matters.
Policy Development & Implementation:
- Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies as per group guidelines and local laws.
- Create and maintain a Code of Conduct aligned with organizational values and Indian laws.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters / Bachelors degree in law or CA with 12+ years' experience in compliance, legal and related field.
- Certifications like Certified Compliance & Ethics professional (CCEP, ICA) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in conflict resolution, investigation, mediation, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of applicable India and international laws (FCPA, Labour Laws, GDPR, etc)
- Proven experience in developing, implementing and managing ethics & compliance programs.
- Strong experience in handling investigations and managing whistleblower cases, etc
