Job Description:
The Manager - Strategy will play a critical role in shaping financial insights and driving strategic decision-making across the organization. The role is analysis-heavy with direct business impact, covering performance tracking of Channels, Categories, and Business Units, as well as involvement in strategic projects such as M&A, fundraising, and long-range planning.
The position involves working closely with the C-Suite and Business Heads, translating data into insights which will influence both, operational choices and long-term growth plans. Beyond Financial Planning and Reporting, the role provides an opportunity to contribute to projects which will determine the organization's future direction, from investment evaluations to transaction execution.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical and financial skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions, ensuring decisions are backed by robust analysis and clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and timely management and investor reports, ensuring consistency and clarity in insights.
- Lead analysis for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly performance reviews.
- Monitor business performance vs. plan; provide variance analysis with clear drivers and implications.
- Build and refine financial and valuation models; develop dashboards and KPI frameworks to improve visibility across the business.
- Partner with functional and business unit teams to assess initiatives and efficiency opportunities.
- Provide analytical support for strategic projects, including M&A, partnerships, and fundraising.
- Prepare Board, Investor, and External Stakeholder collaterals.
- Support in Due Diligence and integration workstreams in transactions.
- Engage with senior leaders to highlight risks, opportunities, and actionable insights on business performance.
Skills that could land you the job:
- Advanced Excel skills are necessary; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or programming (R, Python) is a plus.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to create clear, well-structured decks for management presentations, board packs and investor materials.
- Strong analytical ability with problem-solving expertise.
- Clear communicator, able to simplify complex analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
- Must have an ownership mindset to independently understand and drive projects and reporting.
