
People Operations Manager

Role Summary:
The People Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of people- related operations across multiple employee groups in India. This position is responsible for translating HR strategy into scalable, compliant, and employee- centric operational practices.
Partnering closely with senior HR leadership and global counterparts, you will help build, localize, and continuously enhance people processes while supporting a fast- growing, dynamic organization with evolving needs.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1) HR Systems, Data & Process Excellence:
- Act as the local subject- matter expert and first point of escalation for HR systems and tools.
- Manage data accuracy and governance within the HR Information System, ensuring records remain current and reliable.
- Support the local rollout and adoption of global people tools and platforms.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimization and automation.
2) Employee Lifecycle & Operational Support:
- Manage end- to- end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment documentation, internal movements, and exits.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR processes, policies, and operational queries.
- Ensure consistent, timely, and well- organized HR administration aligned with internal standards.
3) Payroll, Benefits & Compliance:
- Coordinate monthly payroll activities alongside external partners, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to timelines.
- Oversee administration of benefits programs and ensure smooth employee participation and communication.
- Handle statutory requirements such as PF, PT, gratuity provisioning, and other mandatory filings.
- Monitor compliance with Indian labor laws and proactively flag potential risks or gaps.
Candidate Profile:
1) Experience & Exposure:
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or a similar function.
- Experience supporting diverse or multiple employee populations is preferred.
- Exposure to multinational or globally connected environments with cross- border collaboration.
2) Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong working knowledge of Indian payroll processes, labor legislation, and statutory compliance.
- Practical experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or comparable systems).
- High attention to detail with a structured, process- oriented approach to work.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast- paced, scaling organization with evolving processes.
- Clear, professional communication skills in written and spoken English.
