Skills Required:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital forensics, with a proven track record of conducting complex investigations and producing actionable results using digital forensic tools.
- Professional certifications such as EnCE, CFCE, CCE, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of forensic analysis tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Cellebrite, and open-source forensic software.
- Knowledge of open source intelligence tools (desirable) and investigative methodologies (must).
- Strong understanding of operating systems, file systems, network protocols, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to evolving situations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, often under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
- Experience with incident response procedures and methodologies is a plus.
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of digital devices, including computers, servers, mobile
phones, and other electronic storage media, using industry-standard forensic tools and techniques.
- Preserve and analyze digital evidence in accordance with established procedures and chain of custody protocols.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and external partners to support ongoing investigations and legal proceedings.
- Willingness to travel within Maharashtra and the other parts of India within timelines and delivering is a must.
- Provide expert testimony in court proceedings and other legal forums, as required.
- Develop and maintain forensic analysis procedures, tools, and documentation to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the forensic process.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and threats in the field of digital forensics, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the organization's capabilities.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the digital forensics team, as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital forensics, OSINT, cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training programs.
