Role & Responsibilities :
- Lead procurement and assortment curation for baby non-apparels (0-6 years) from leading Indian brands.
- Strategically select products to maximize sell-through rates, aligning closely with customer preferences and market trends.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, margins, and contract terms (SOR, Sale or Return; SC, Sale or Consignment; Exchanges) ensuring profitability.
- Build and maintain robust, long-term relationships with vendors to facilitate seamless collaboration and timely inventory management.
- Continuously analyze sales data and market feedback to refine and optimize product assortment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and analytics teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
- High Sell-Through Rate: Demonstrated by strategic product selection and effective assortment management.
- Gross Margin: Achieved through skilled negotiation and vendor management.
Ideal Candidate :
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or procurement within the non-apparel sector in baby or kids' categories.
- Proven track record in assortment planning, vendor negotiations, and achieving strong financial outcomes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building lasting vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess sales data, consumer trends, and product performance.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments, adaptable and proactive.
- Result-oriented mindset, highly organized, with keen attention to detail and commercial acumen.
