About the Team:

The General Trade business team currently manages QR, Soundbox and EDC business for all MSME merchants associated with Paytm.

It houses functions such as sales, service, central business, growth, revenue & other associated activities.

About the Role:

- Focus on improving Net Payment Margin for EDC business by analyzing & implementing effective strategies

- Understand and drive key metrics such as Merchant Discount Rate (MDR), Payment Gateway (PG) performance, and routing for MDR-bearing instruments.

- Develop and execute EDC deployment plans and track revenue performance across plans

- Own subscription products roadmap, including conducting cross-industry benchmarking to identify and develop next set of features to maximize revenue and retention

- Own merchant view of device subscriptions to ensure ease of use & transparent information

- Plan and develop subscription communication calendar for merchants

- Oversee project to recover Soundbox & EDC devices from merchants to ensure capex savings

- Track payment default days (PDD) and initiate programs to reduce the impact in P&L

- Develop initiative to enhance collection recovery

Qualifications and Skills:

- MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institution.

- 5+ years of experience (3+ years post-MBA) with past responsibilities including working on revenue strategy, pricing or subscription management

- Experience in execution of business goals through collaboration with sales team

- Proven track record in identifying issues/problems & ensuring resolution through product intervention

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong leadership and team management abilities

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
