We are looking for a candidate in the position of a Patent Attorney with a leading global FMCG company...  Details for the same as mentioned below:  Position Title: Patent Attorney  Part of: R & D team  Location: Whitefield, Bangalore  Deliverables of the Role:  - Identification and Protection of inventions and Designs across Our client's business interests for India, and South East Asia and extend the protection globally. Keep track of the changes in patent and design laws and the related issues of IPR around the world, and respond suitably to ensure that Our client's interests are protected.   - Handle core portfolio independently and should be capable of being a global patent attorney by taking care of all aspects of PCT, EP and US prosecution and advise Agents in all other countries for prosecution of patent applications in such countries.  - Lead preparation and conduct PRCs (Patent Review Committee meetings) to decide relevance of IP protection in various countries and manage the patent portfolio in a cost effective manner.  - Lead development of Patent Strategies for R&D projects.   - Draft agreements and advise Our client's OI Group (Open Innovation).  - Contribute technical arguments and strategies to progress litigations.   - Due diligence for M&A transactions.   - Generate technical arguments to invalidate competitors patents that pose a risk to Our client's business. Argue simple cases at the patent office.  - Provide freedom to operate advice to the business in respect of their intended launches on the patent and design rights of 3rd parties.  - Support Our client business groups to police our patents against infringers and progress necessary action.  - Obtain granted patents and designs under the laws of various countries, e.g., China, Brazil, Europe and the US, including the associated issues of interacting and advising local agents in such countries and working within the purview of the country's IPR rules.  Desired Qualification:  - Ph.D or Master's degree in science or Technology and a qualified Indian Patent agent or a qualified Patent Attorney from another major IP jurisdiction like EP or US.
