Parle Global Technologies - General Manager - Operations

GM - Operations:

Location: Base location Vasai, for Multiple Units (Vasai - Mumbai and Sanand - Ahmedabad)

Reporting To: VP - Operations / Senior Management

Qualifications:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering/Operations/Management.

- 20+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in engineering/industrial machinery.

- Proven track record of leading large teams and multi-unit operations.

Age - Up to 50 years.

Compensation: Open (Salary No Bar)

Role Purpose:

To lead and oversee operations across Vasai - Rajvidesh, Sanand - PE37, and PE16 units, ensuring seamless production, compliance, and efficiency.

The GM - Operations will act as the strategic head for manufacturing, driving productivity, cost optimization, and team alignment in line with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Leadership:

- Direct and manage production activities across Vasai and Sanand.

- Ensure alignment of unit-level managers with organizational objectives.

- Oversee manpower planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.

2. Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production output and reduce costs.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).

3. Compliance and Quality:

- Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain product excellence.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Work closely with HR, Finance, Design, and Service teams to ensure smooth inter-departmental functioning.

- Support recruitment and training for critical operational roles.

5. Reporting and MIS:

- Provide structured dashboards and reports to senior management.

- Track KPIs including production efficiency, downtime, manpower utilization, and cost control.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- Strong leadership and team management skills (handling 400+ indirect reports).

- Expertise in manufacturing operations, compliance, and process optimization.

- Ability to manage multi-unit operations with diverse reporting structures.

- Excellent communication and dashboard reporting skills.

- Strategic thinker with problem-solving ability.
