About the job

- We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant based in Mumbai to manage the financial operations, taxation, and statutory compliance of our subsidiary company in Tanzania.

- The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely tax filings, and adherence to local Tanzanian regulatory requirements while coordinating with local teams remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate books of accounts for the Tanzanian subsidiary in accordance with IFRS and local Tanzanian regulations.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

- Handle tax filings, VAT, and statutory returns as per Tanzanian laws.

- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements including TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority), NSSF, and other statutory bodies.

- Coordinate with local auditors, consultants, and in-country team for smooth financial operations.

- Prepare management reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting for the subsidiary.

- Support cross-border transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and transfer pricing documentation.
