Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Parametric Senior Underwriter to lead the underwriting and structuring of innovative parametric insurance solutions across climate, natural catastrophe, and specialty risk segments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for advancing data-driven insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Underwriting & Product Development: Lead the underwriting of parametric insurance products, ensuring robust risk assessment and alignment with organizational goals.

- Trigger Design & Structuring: Design, develop, and validate parametric triggers leveraging diverse data sources such as satellite imagery, seismic data, and weather indices.

- Risk Evaluation & Pricing: Evaluate complex risk models, pricing frameworks, and payout mechanisms to ensure accuracy, transparency, and profitability.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and data providers to develop tailored risk transfer solutions that meet specific client needs.

- Market & Regulatory Insight: Continuously monitor emerging risks, evolving market trends, and regulatory developments in the parametric and climate risk insurance space.

- Innovation & Leadership: Provide strategic input into product innovation, mentoring junior underwriters and contributing to the companys thought leadership in parametric insurance.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of underwriting experience, with a significant focus on parametric, climate, or specialty risks.

- Proven expertise in data-driven underwriting using remote sensing, meteorological, or geospatial data sources.

- Strong understanding of risk modeling, index design, and payout calculation methodologies.

- Experience collaborating with brokers, reinsurers, and analytical partners in the development of innovative insurance structures.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Earth Sciences, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
