The Team

You'll work directly with the Founder

- Founder: Amit Sah - BIT Mesra, IIM Bangalore, ex-OYO, Ola, Pristyn; previously built Zoplar (Blume, Beenext, Titan-funded)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a high-performing Finance Controller, who will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for building and managing the finance function with a sharp focus on controllership, investor reporting, budgeting, audits, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Planning

- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.

- Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.

- Develop financial models to support business decisions and investment analysis.

2. Controllership & Governance

- Own end-to-end accounting, compliance, and reporting functions.

- Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books.

- Drive implementation of internal financial controls, processes, and systems.

3. Regulatory & Audit Compliance

- Lead statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.

- Ensure full compliance with Indian GAAP/Ind AS, GST, TDS, Companies Act, and other regulations.

- Manage interactions with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.

4. Stakeholder Reporting

- Prepare investor decks, board presentations, MIS reports, and business reviews.

- Track business KPIs and financial metrics for leadership and investors.

5. Team Management

- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team.

- Implement training and development plans for continuous upskilling.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; MBA (Finance) is a plus.

- 5+ years of post-qualification experience with at least 2-3 years in a controllership role.

- Prior experience in consumer tech/D2C/e-commerce/startups preferred.

- Strong understanding of accounting standards (Ind AS), tax laws, and regulatory frameworks.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
