Outbound Lead - Warehouse Operations

Responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs, client SLAs, and safety standards. This role involves overseeing daily workflows, managing teams, and driving operational efficiency while maintaining cost control and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:

- Oversee receiving, put-away, inventory management, order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch.

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, SLAs, and compliance standards.

- Monitor daily workflows for accuracy, productivity, and timeliness.

- Coordinate with transportation and customer service teams for timely dispatch and delivery.

People Management:

- Lead and motivate warehouse staff including team leads, supervisors, and associates.

- Develop manpower plans and shift rosters based on operational volumes.

- Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and training programs.

- Address grievances and enforce disciplinary actions while maintaining a positive work environment.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the operational point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

- Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met; resolve escalations promptly.

- Support onboarding of new clients or service expansions.

- Provide operational reports and performance reviews to clients and senior management.

Financial & P&L Responsibility:

- Monitor warehouse budgets and control costs related to labor, MHE, and consumables.

- Track operational performance against financial targets.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures for profitability.

Quality & Compliance Management:

- Implement and monitor quality control processes for error-free operations.

- Conduct audits and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

- Promote continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean).

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate in any discipline (preferably Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations). MBA/PGDM in Logistics/Supply Chain Management is an advantage.

- 5-10 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

- Strong knowledge of WMS, inventory control, and order fulfilment processes.

- Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.

- Familiarity with automation and MHE operations.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, high-volume environments.

- Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
