
Senior Product Manager - AI
Description:
The Senior Product Manager - Capture owns the full lifecycle of Ottimate's AI-based invoice capture, extraction, and validation capabilities. This PM will shape how Ottimate ingests and understands financial documents at scale, applying machine learning, language models, and computer vision to automate what used to require human review. This role sits at the intersection of AI, workflow automation, and accounting intelligence, driving a critical part of our Autonomous Settlement vision.
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Product Ownership:
- Own the end-to-end roadmap for AI Capture, including document ingestion, classification, field extraction, confidence scoring, and multi-step validation.
- Define how Capture integrates into Ottimate's AP and Payments workflows, enabling invoice-free and touchless settlement.
- Partner with AI/ML engineering to drive precision, recall, and latency improvements across extraction models.
Strategy and Vision:
- Develop a multi-year strategy for Capture as a standalone capability and part of the broader Autonomous Settlement ecosystem.
- Translate Ottimate's product strategy into a roadmap for intelligent document understanding, exception reduction, and autonomous validation.
- Identify opportunities to leverage LLMs, graph intelligence, and image models to evolve from OCR understanding to reasoning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Data Science, Platform, and UX teams to ensure accuracy, usability, and transparency in AI-driven automation.
- Partner with Professional Services, Support, and Customer Success to capture feedback and shape enhancements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and QA to ensure release readiness and performance at scale.
Metrics and Performance:
- Define and monitor Capture-specific KPIs, including extraction accuracy, validation automation, processing time, and confidence thresholds.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement and reduce customer touchpoints over time.
Requirements:
- Have 5-8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of AI/ML or data automation products.
- Understand OCR, NLP, or intelligent document processing systems.
- Bring working knowledge of invoice, PO, and contract structures.
- Balance algorithmic precision with real-world UX.
- Excel at cross-functional communication and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP integrations (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, etc. ).
- Familiarity with vendor master data, 3-way matching, and reconciliation workflows.
- Experience with LLM-based validation or auto-classification pipelines.
- Background in accounting automation or financial systems.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
