Business Partner - Strategy & Execution


1. Core Responsibilities:


- Function as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director, providing insight, recommendations, and challenge on operational, commercial, and organisational matters.


- Anticipate issues, prepare briefing papers, and ensure the Executive Director is fully informed and equipped for decision-making.


- Support the development, refinement, and communication of the OSBI Strategy.


- Track delivery against strategic outcomes, intervening where needed to address risks or underperformance.


- Lead and manage the Executive Director Office, ensuring it operates efficiently and adds strategic value.


- Translate strategic objectives into actionable programmes and operational plans.


- Manage the leadership rhythm (SLTs, ExCo forums, steering committees, performance reviews).


- Prepare board-level and executive communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment.


- Function as a central coordination point between Operations, Risk, Finance, Technology, HR, and other key functions.


- Support leadership effectiveness by enabling communication, engagement, and development initiatives.


- Ensure operational performance reporting is robust, accurate, and delivered on time.


- Work closely with the to develop and implement strategic and operational processes that lead to the achievement of corporate goals and a culture of organisational excellence.

- Represent the Executive Director in internal and external forums where appropriate.


- Ensure seamless execution of the Executive Directors priorities and day-to-day operational commitments.


- Provide oversight of major operational change initiatives, transformation programmes, and cross-functional projects.


- Support leadership effectiveness by enabling communication, engagement, and development initiatives.


- Assess programme interdependencies, resource constraints, budget utilisation, and delivery risks.


- Escalate issues and recommend corrective actions to the Executive Director and senior stakeholders.


- Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and productivity across OSBI.


2. Experience Requirements:


- 8+ years previous experience in a senior managerial position with Strategy, Operational Management experience with ongoing direct interaction with Executive Committee and/or Board Members is essential.


- Strong exposure to technology industry in complex, regulated financial services, GCC's or product organizations.


- 8+ years' experience working in or supporting a COO office, transformation team, or similar strategic operational role is essential.


- Experience in designing, developing & delivering executive level business plans to both local & global leadership.


- Experience partnering with Executive Committee and Senior leadership team is essential.


3. Knowledge Requirements:


- Deep understanding of corporate strategy frameworks (e.g., Porter's Five Forces, Balanced Scorecard, OKRs).


- Proven record in operational strategy, transformation, change management, and governance.


- Expertise in enterprise transformation methodologies (Agile at scale, digital transformation, change management).


- Ability to synthesize market intelligence, competitor analysis, and macroeconomic trends into actionable plans.


- High degree of familiarity with Lean, continuous improvement, or process optimisation methodologies (preferred).


- Understanding of product lifecycle management, innovation frameworks, and customer centric design.


4. Skill and Competency Requirements:


- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.


- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and facilitation skills.


- Highly organised, with strong prioritisation and time-management capabilities.


- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through change.


- Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial performance data, KPIs, and operational metrics.


- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive papers and board-level materials.
