- Manage External & Internal Complexities
- Ensure deliveries in complex external supply chain environments of:
- International markets challenging geo-political scenarios
- India market emerging MT / ecommerce channel
- Manage internal complex / multiple stakeholders and workstreams, multiple Business Units, Manufacturing multi-factory operations coordination, alignment and delivery.
- The role acts as a bridge between Supply Chain Business partners from multiple Business Units and the Operations team, ensuring a high degree of collaboration for both business and operational needs, managing constraints and delivering OTIF.
- Accelerate Process Harmonisation & Supply Chain Digitalisation
- Drive SNOP effectiveness with process standardisation, stakeholder and goal alignment.
- Build process-led Supply Chain operations drive process documentation, alignment and adoption.
- Supply Chain digitalisation lead digital planning capabilities with planning tools identification, implementation & adoption.
- Build a Winning Team and Supply Chain Leadership Pipeline
- Guide the team to manage processes and routine operations with ownership.
- Build the team to manage and navigate in ambiguous and complex situations.
- Build the leadership pipeline develop high-performing next generation supply chain leaders.
Responsibility and Mandate:
Planning Operations:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and align the annual volumes BU-wise at category, SKU levels by regions, months and sales channels; map logistics and warehouse requirements and project annual logistics costs.
- Check and highlight capacity constraints and resolution plans.
- Monthly and weekly supply plans (production + distribution) are aligned to demand projections as per SNOP plans, and proactively solve demand-supply gaps.
- Ensure fill rates and availability outlook for the next 3 months with rough-cut capacity planning; align planned plant shutdowns with inventory coverage.
- Festive season volumes are well planned and aligned with BU and Operations team to ensure smooth seasonal sales achievement.
- New product launches are delivered on time as per defined timelines; post launch ensure high stock freshness.
- Similarly deliver consumer promotion plans as per timelines.
Logistics Operations:
- Warehouse operations are governed as per GMP / GHP practices; all mandatory compliance requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure EHS guidelines are followed at all warehouses.
- Drive warehouse cost optimisation initiatives and manage overall warehouse operations costs.
- Transportation operations are managed well delivery & cost management.
- Optimise transport logistics network in line with opportunities to increase service levels and/or optimise transport costs.
- Manage transport vendors and build good working relationships.
Processes & Systems:
- Define and implement harmonised processes within Planning, Logistics, and with touchpoints of other departments.
- Factory Supply Chain for production planning processes.
- Anchor organisation-wide supply chain process standardisation from SNOP to finished goods delivery.
- Digitalisation of planning processes/activities lead and drive digitalisation initiatives for supply planning processes.
- Performance monitoring, reporting & governance develop and track crucial KPIs to measure effectiveness of Planning and Logistics Operations.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Team management develop team members to deliver organisational priorities.
- Build a collaborative, results-driven, high-performance team.
- Build teams and next generation leaders for the Supply Chain vertical.
