Role Overview:
As an Investment Analyst, you will serve as a core member of the equity research team, responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities that align with our portfolio objectives. You will work closely with senior portfolio managers to dissect financial statements, build robust valuation models, and monitor market trends that impact our holdings. Your contributions will directly influence our asset allocation strategies and provide the analytical foundation required to maintain a competitive edge in the capital markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive equity research and financial analysis to identify undervalued stocks and potential growth opportunities for the firm's portfolio.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including DCF, relative valuation, and sensitivity analysis, to support investment recommendations.
- Monitor developments in trade finance and broader capital markets to assess how macroeconomic shifts impact specific sectors and asset classes.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, clearly articulating the thesis, risks, and expected returns for proposed trades.
- Track portfolio performance and provide ongoing coverage of existing holdings to ensure alignment with the firm's risk-reward parameters.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial statement analysis and valuation techniques, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and market mechanics.
- Ability to synthesize vast amounts of qualitative and quantitative data into actionable investment insights for senior stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for articulating complex investment theses and collaborating within a high-performance team.
- A foundational understanding of trade finance and equity market dynamics, supported by a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Progress toward or completion of the CFA designation is highly preferred, reflecting a commitment to professional excellence.
- Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad for this on-site role, demonstrating the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, office-based investment environment.
