Role Overview As a Product Manager at Opptra, youll work closely with cross-functional teams such as Category Management, E-Commerce Marketplaces Operations, Marketing & Branding, Inventory & Supply chain, finance & legal and business developement to analyze requirements for business operations. Your role will involve in discovery, evaluation, implementation and driving adoption of technology platforms and tools. Youll troubleshoot problems, resolving operational issues, and improving business processes. Youll also create and refine process flows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency and work with Business Analysts to monitor and keep the technology stack working seamlessly. You will assist the category heads in running POCs for key problem areas such as Inventory planning, demand forecasting, catalog listing and continue to find latest and AI driven platforms that can transform the business without compromising operational efficiency. Key Outcomes 1. Seamless OMS/WMS Selection and Implementation: Successfully evaluate, select, and onboard an OMS/WMS platform tailored to Opptras regional and category needs. Deliver fully operational systems across all functional masters (items, categories, tax, vendor, customer, facilities) with zero critical issues during go-live. 2. Full Marketplace Connector Integration: Implement and operationalize end-to-end integrations for Flex (parcel & bulky), FBA, and Self-Ship connectors. Ensure real-time syncs for inventory, catalog, and order lifecycle events. Establish robust allocation logic and inventory formulas per facility, achieving 99%+ order routing accuracy. 3. Quick Commerce & Warehouse Integration Readiness: Configure OMS to support plug-and-play onboarding for Q-Commerce and regional warehouse providers. Launch selling channels with active shipping rules and inventory visibility, enabling fulfillment within SLA for at least 95% of early-stage orders. 4. UAT Completion with Zero Critical Failures: Lead rigorous user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles across OMS, marketplace connectors, and warehouse modules. Validate successful execution of all use cases: catalog sync, inventory pushes, order flows, returns, invoicing, packaging, manifests, and report validations. 5. Daily Tech Operations Stability: Own daily tech operations by proactively monitoring logs, error rates, and sync health across 30+ connectors. Achieve a consistent error resolution SLA of under 6 hours for critical failures. Reduce order fallout incidents by 50% within the first quarter post-launch. 6. Cross-functional Coordination with Category, SCM, Finance & Legal and other Critical Functions Partner with category, finance, and supply chain teams to define shipping rules, SLAs, and escalation paths. Ensure system configurations meet regional compliance and logistical nuances. 7. Tools and Vendor Ecosystem Expansion: Evaluate and implement scalable tech tools such as PIM, CRM, CLM, Helpdesk (e.g., Freshworks), and deploy AI Tools to automate recurring business processes, to enable rapid issue resolution and customer engagement across Opptras multi-market footprint. 8. Business Analyst Enablement & Operational Playbooks: Create SOPs, checklists, and dashboards to enable business analysts to run daily ops with minimal friction. Deliver operational handover packages with training, SLAs, KPIs, and built-in tech escalations to support scale. 9. Rapid POC Innovation: Proactively identify operational blind spots across inventory planning, demand forecasting, and catalog listing processesespecially across fragmented or under-supported marketplaces. Develop and roll out low-code/no-code Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions using tools like Excel models, Airtable, Google Apps Scripts, or workflow automation platforms. Deliver at least 2 successful POCs per quarter that reduce manual effort, increase planning accuracy, or enhance speed-to-market. These POCs should enable data-driven decision-making and be robust enough to be used in live environments while long-term tech solutions are scoped. Competencies Customer & Market Insight - Deep understanding of both B2B, B2C and D2C customer journeys and how technology can solve real pain points - Strong awareness of industry trends and competitive tech stacks to shape differentiated product strategies. Vendor Management - Maintains strong relationships with software vendors to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness. - Escalates issues effectively through vendor relationships to ensure prompt resolution and minimize impact on sales. People Management - Influences cross-functional teams, driving decision-making on workflows, tools, and processes to align with company objectives. - Fosters accountability, collaboration, and open communication, empowering teams to own their work and deliver high-quality products/services. Business Intelligence - Works with relevant teams to design dashboards with core KPIs and metrics, ensuring visibility and data-driven decision-making. - Designs alerts and notifications to optimize workflows, ensuring timely, data-informed business actions. Preferred Qualifications - 610 years of relevant experience in product management, operations technology, or platform implementation in e-commerce, supply chain, or retail tech environments. - Proven track record of leading end-to-end implementations of OMS, WMS, or other commerce-related platforms, especially in multi-region or multi-marketplace contexts. - Demonstrated experience building MVPs or Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, Zapier, or similar to address short-term operational gaps or test hypotheses before scaling. - Deep understanding of both B2B and D2C commerce operations, including catalog management, order routing, fulfillment logic, and inventory control. - Strong analytical acumen with the ability to define KPIs, build dashboards, and work hands-on with SQL or BI tools like Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, etc. - Comfortable working in an AI-first product culture, with familiarity in leveraging AI tools like Claude, GPT-4, Fireworks.ai, or LangChain to automate processes or enhance user workflows. - Prior experience integrating with marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Noon, Namshi, Lazada), and logistics tech platforms or shipping APIs is a strong plus. - Effective project and vendor management capabilities, including running RFPs, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery from technology partners. - Highly collaborative and entrepreneurial mindsetcomfortable with ambiguity, moving fast, and driving alignment across Category, Ops, Tech, and Finance stakeholders. - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field. A masters degree (MBA/MS) is a plus but not mandatory.
