Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Distribution Operations
- Manage and oversee all aspects of international logistics operations, including the movement of testing and analytical equipment, raw materials, and samples across borders.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize global supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery timelines.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable international trade regulations, including import/export laws, customs procedures, and industry-specific regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all shipping and customs documentation, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, and other compliance-related documents.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of testing and analytical materials, ensuring timely replenishment and movement between warehouses, suppliers, and clients.
- Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, regulatory, and quality control, to ensure that products meet all regulatory requirements and are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
- Provide regular reports on logistics performance, including cost analysis, shipping delays, and potential risks to stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on international trade laws, customs procedures, and any changes in regulations that impact logistics operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage all inbound and outbound shipments to/from manufacturing sites and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs)
- Supervise logistics for products produced and distributed globally
- Ensure timely and correct delivery of customer shipments and documentation
- Monitor and improve shipping cycle times for both inbound and outbound operations
- Utilize optimal seaports and airports for cost-effective and timely logistics
- Coordinate the generation of weekly dispatch schedules
- Resolve transportation and logistics-related issues proactively
Vendor & Contract Management
- Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics service providers, including transporters, customs house agents, freight forwarders, and consultants
- Track vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements
- Manage timely payments to vendors and resolve related issues
Warehouse Management
- Oversee all warehouse facilities and operations across India
- Ensure adherence to inventory accuracy, material handling protocols, and storage standards
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise and coach the development of the Purchasing team
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and manage performance with HQ.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
- Analyze supply chain processes and recommend improvements
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, order accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare extensive reports and dashboards for senior management.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with large datasets to develop insights that support smarter planning decisions for Senior leadership review
- Lead change management initiatives within the supply chain ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, processes, and organizational changes through clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and training.
- Contribute to other supply chain improvement initiatives as required
