Operations Manager Last Mile & Warehouse
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead last-mile delivery and warehouse operations across a multi-city, global footprint. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic backgroundpreferably an MBA from a Tier-1 instituteand proven experience in logistics, e-commerce, or operations management.
The role demands strong execution capability, people leadership, financial acumen, and a sharp focus on customer experience, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Operations Leadership:
- Oversee and manage last-mile delivery operations across multiple global cities, ensuring high service quality, timely deliveries, and superior customer experience.
- Drive consistent execution standards and operational performance across regions.
Warehouse Management:
- Lead inventory planning, warehouse efficiency, and capacity utilization initiatives.
- Ensure operations are cost-effective, safe, and compliant with regulatory and legal requirements.
Last-Mile Delivery Operations:
- Design, own, and continuously improve end-to-end unit cost structures.
- Manage the complete last-mile delivery lifecycle, including 3PL and partner relationships.
- Achieve and sustain delivery SLA performance and success ratios.
Fleet & Team Management:
- Improve fleet utilization and management practices to optimize operating costs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Delivery Centre Managers and on-ground teams.
Customer Experience & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and service quality.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Customer Service, and Central Teams to ensure seamless operational execution.
Operational Excellence, Network Planning & Optimization:
- Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and best practices across operations.
- Track and monitor operational KPIs, quality controls, and productivity metrics.
- Define strategic and operational objectives using financial and performance data to drive profitability.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships, including pricing, rebates, and service-level governance.
Leadership & People Management:
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams.
- Take ownership of policy formulation, planning, and strategic decision-making within operations.
Requirements & Skills:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in operations or logistics management, preferably within an e-commerce or last-mile delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of operations management, organizational effectiveness, and execution excellence.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-city environments with high ownership and accountability.
