Operations Manager - Fund Management & Trading

Regulatory Mandate Immediate Joiner Preferred | Mumbai

Location- Mumbai, Maharashtra

Joining Immediate / ASAP (Regulatory Requirement)

Qualification - CA / CFA Charterholder / MBA - Finance

Experience - 5+ years in Investment Management; 2+ years in Fund Mgmt / Trading

Employment - Full-Time, Permanent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and monitor investment portfolios (mutual funds, AIFs, PMS, or similar vehicles).

- Support front-office trading and fund management with research, analysis, and execution.

- Ensure compliance with SEBI / RBI / IRDAI regulations and internal investment mandates.

- Prepare fund performance reports, MIS, attribution analysis, and investor communications.

- Coordinate with compliance, risk, operations, and custody teams for seamless fund administration.

- Draft investment committee notes, trade rationale documentation, and board-level presentations.

- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Education (any one): CA (ICAI) / CFA Charterholder / MBA or PGDM in Finance from a recognised institution.

- Total Experience: 5+ years in investment management, asset management, or buy-side financial services.

- Relevant Experience: 2+ years in a front-office role closely aligned with fund management, portfolio management, or trading (Fund Manager, Portfolio Analyst, Dealer/Trader, Investment Analyst).

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Strong knowledge of equity, fixed income, and/or multi-asset fund structures and valuation.

- Hands-on experience with portfolio/order management systems (Bloomberg, Aladdin, Charles River, etc.).

- Sound understanding of SEBI regulations governing AMCs, AIFs, PMS, or insurance investment operations.

- Analytical proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and performance attribution.

- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to thrive in a regulated, deadline-driven environment.
