Role Overview:
The Operations Lead will play a key role in driving the smooth functioning of it's education programs across states.
The role involves managing project operations, ensuring compliance and accountability in financial and donor processes, and maintaining strong partnerships with government and institutional stakeholders.
This position requires a highly organized professional with strong analytical, financial, and people management skills, and the ability to translate strategy into effective on-ground execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Operational Management:
- Oversee end-to-end program implementation, ensuring timely delivery of project goals across geographies.
- Develop and monitor operational plans, SOPs, and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate across internal teams, partners, and field staff to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage program budgets, track utilization, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Support cost optimization by monitoring expenses and identifying areas for operational efficiency.
Donor Reporting & Compliance:
- Track project performance and prepare periodic reports for donors, partners, and internal leadership.
- Ensure accurate documentation of program outcomes, metrics, and fund utilization.
- Collaborate with the M&E and finance teams to meet donor reporting timelines and compliance standards.
Government & Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain productive relationships with state and district education departments.
- Facilitate MoUs, reviews, and joint planning meetings with government officials.
- Represent it in official forums, ensuring program alignment with state priorities.
Team & Vendor Coordination:
- Manage project support teams, ensuring clarity in roles, deliverables, and accountability.
- Identify, onboard, and manage vendors or service partners where needed, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
What Were Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in operations, project management, or program delivery, preferably in education or development sectors.
- Strong skills in process design, team management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
