Operations Lead

Description:

Our client is seeking a hands-on, process-driven Operations Lead to oversee and streamline end-to-end operations at our manufacturing and dispatch units .

This role sits at the heart of the business managing production, procurement, inventory, logistics, and coordination with the head office. The ideal candidate combines strong on-ground leadership with systematic planning to drive efficiency, discipline, and daily execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily factory and warehouse operations, including production scheduling and dispatch.

- Coordinate between procurement, packaging, inventory, logistics, and finance teams.

- Maintain process discipline through checklists, logs, and SOP-driven operations.

- Track production output, machine utilization, wastage, and inventory accuracy.

- Manage packaging and raw material planning, vendor deliveries, and inter-location transport.

- Ensure timely dispatches and accurate documentation for orders and shipments.

- Supervise on-ground clerical/logistics staff, ensuring accountability and proper reporting.

- Implement and maintain ERP/operations systems (Odoo/Zoho or equivalent).

- Liaise with the head office for planning, purchase approvals, and management reviews.

- Drive cost control, process improvement, and preventive maintenance initiatives.

- Support audit readiness, FSSAI/HACCP documentation, and export compliance.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.

- 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations (FMCG/Food sector preferred).

- Strong leadership and communication skills; comfortable managing ground-level teams.

- Hands-on problem solver who thrives in a production environment.

- Excellent organizational and analytical ability.

- Proficient in Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP/CRM platforms.

- Fluency in English preferred.
