To ensure that paper production unit/s meets its production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety and oversee all aspects of the paper production process, units and other auxiliaries from procurement and production to quality control and distribution.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans aligned with the Company's overall strategic goals
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable steps and ensure their effective execution across the paper production unit
- Monitor and evaluate operational performance, making adjustments to plans as needed to optimize outcomes
Production Management and Optimization:
- Oversee the entire production process, from raw material processing to finished goods distribution
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Manage and optimize production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while minimizing production bottlenecks
Resource Management and Cost Control:
- Effectively manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize utilization
- Implement cost-control measures to minimize expenses and maximize profitability without compromising quality
Quality Assurance and Compliance leading to Customer satisfaction:
- Establish and enforce strict quality control procedures to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency across all production units and auxiliaries
- Zero quality complaints
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify and address potential quality issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the paper production process
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies & processes
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance paper production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce production costs
- Plug the gaps in Engineering infrastructure to ensure NIL downtime
- Improve consumption norm as per the targets
Developing the team capability:
- Hire, train, and motivate team members
- Identification of training needs &encourage participation of each team member
- Ensure team gets required technical training to perform their jobs
- Conduct performance appraisals for the team
- Ensure readiness of identified successors for key roles
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- B.Tech/ B.E.
- Full time Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on operations management, supply chain management, or general management is highly desirable.
- Industry specific certifications: CSCP, PMP, CPIM
EXPERIENCE: At least 18- 20 Years of extensive experience in operations, paper production, and leadership roles
