Position Summary:

To provide direct, on-the-ground operational leadership for a designated cluster of manufacturing units. The core purpose is to ensure all units within the cluster consistently achieve their performance targets across production, cost, quality, and delivery, while guaranteeing 100% compliance with all EHS and statutory regulations and fostering a highly engaged, productive workforce. This role acts as the primary link between corporate strategy and plant-level execution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. EHS & Statutory Compliance:

- Adherence to all EHS regulations and corporate guidelines within the cluster.

- Proactive compliance with all applicable Statutory Acts and rules pertaining to the running of all units.

- Representing the company in all engagements with external government bodies and authorities, acting in line with company policy and coordinating with Head Office where required.

2. Plant Engineering & Maintenance:

- The upkeep and maintenance engineering for all plants in the cluster, including packaging machinery and all other company properties and assets.

- The central projects team by providing local engineering support for project implementation at cluster sites.

3. People & HR Management:

- Maintaining high levels of employee engagement by regularly visiting all units and proactively addressing any local HR issues, including maintaining harmonious industrial relations.

- Identifying the need for location-specific changes in HR Policies and driving their finalization with senior management and HR.

- Ensuring key personnel are familiarized with all applicable corporate and local HR policies.

- Talent Management, including identifying high-potential individuals and ensuring suitable career paths are designed in consultation with senior leadership and HR.

- Investigating the root causes of abnormal attrition and preparing remedial action plans.

- Ensuring critical open positions within the cluster are filled promptly through appropriate intervention and follow-up.

4. Systems, Processes & Governance:

- Conducting proper and timely reviews for all subjects where direct responsibility lies with the Cluster Head, as per corporate governance norms.

- The successful implementation of all initiatives or assignments driven by the Head Office.

- Providing necessary training to ensure adherence to all corporate systems and processes across the cluster, including the implementation of FMS.

- Selective support for solving supply chain issues for the Units in the cluster (inc removal of structural constraints through remedial actions).

- Wherever required provide support for execution related to HO functions such as Projects, Quality, Productivity etc.

- QA related - Support QA only basis need or wherever called for (i.e. wherever intervention is sought by QA HO). Cluster head will not be responsible for day-to-day operations of QA in the cluster.
