Head of Operations / Plant Manager - Electronics Manufacturing

Location: Mysore, Karnataka

We are hiring a Plant Manager / Head of Operations for a leading global manufacturing organization setting up a new facility in Mysore. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building and scaling a world-class electronics manufacturing operation.

Role Overview

This role will lead end-to-end plant operations, including production, planning, quality, supply chain, and engineering, while working closely with global stakeholders to establish a high-performance, compliant, and scalable manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead full plant operations: Production, Quality, SCM, Procurement, and Logistics

- Drive performance across Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Safety (CQDS) metrics

- Set up and scale manufacturing operations, including process design, line setup, and capacity planning

- Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

- Ensure strong EHS, compliance, and governance standards

- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and capex planning

- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams

- Collaborate with global stakeholders to align with international manufacturing standards

Candidate Profile

- 15+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing / EMS / PCBA environments

- Proven experience in plant setup, scale-up, and operations leadership

- Strong exposure to SMT lines, testing, and high-precision manufacturing

- Demonstrated success in Lean, TPM, and operational excellence initiatives

- Experience working in a global/MNC environment

- Strong leadership capability managing cross-functional teams

Preferred Background

- Candidates from EMS / Electronics / Industrial Electronics / Sensor manufacturing

- South India-based candidates preferred (or open to relocation)

- Willingness to be based in Mysore
