Strategic Priorities:
- Build a Scalable, Future-Ready Omni-Channel Supply Chain Create an agile, tech-enabled supply chain that seamlessly serves Retail, E-commerce, Vet Care, and Grooming with high availability, speed, and accuracy.
- Strengthen Procurement & Vendor Ecosystem Develop a cost-efficient, quality-driven procurement frameworkoptimising vendor partnerships, negotiating better margins, and ensuring consistent supply for all Zigly business lines.
- Improve Inventory Health & Working Capital Efficiency Drive intelligent demand forecasting, replenishment, and ageing control to minimise dead stock, reduce holding costs, and achieve superior inventory turns.
- Enhance Fulfilment Speed & Logistics Capability Upgrade national logistics and last-mile delivery capabilitiesreducing cost-to-serve while improving delivery promise, OTIF, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive Operational Excellence Across Retail & E-Commerce Ensure robust SOPs, standardised processes, and best practices across stores, grooming centres, vet clinics, and fulfilment hubs for consistent service quality.
- Lead Technology & Automation Initiatives Leverage WMS, OMS, NetSuite, analytics, and automation to improve visibility, accuracy, and decision-making across the value chain.
- Enable Business Expansion & New Store Openings Support rapid expansion with operational readiness, inventory planning, supply alignment, and cost-efficient set-up of new cities and centres.
- Ensure Compliance, Safety & Quality Maintain strict quality control, pet-care safety norms, hygiene standards, and legal compliance across procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
- Optimise Costs & Improve Operational P&L Continuously reduce costs through process efficiency, vendor optimisation, route planning, consolidation, and productivity improvements.
- Build and Lead a High-Performance Operations Organisation Develop strong teams across purchase, logistics, warehouse, fulfilment, and store operations with a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Management (strongly preferred) from Tier 1 College.
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, Six Sigma, PMP or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Net Suite), WMS (Unicommerce/Increff), OMS (Unicommerce), Shopify and advanced Excel/analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of omni-channel retail operations, procurement processes, and supply chain technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Business Leadership:
- Lead national Operations, Purchase, Logistics, and Fulfilment strategy
- Drive long-term capacity planning for stores, warehouses, and regional fulfilment centres aligned to growth plans.
- Partner with Vertical Heads to align operations strategy with omnichannel business goals (centre expansion, marketplace scale-up, D2C growth, subscription programs, grooming optimisation, vet care expansion).
- Lead annual operating plan (AOP) for operations, commercial efficiencies, supply planning, and cost optimisation.
2. Purchase, Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Head end-to-end procurement functioncore merchandise, consumables, vet care products & medicines, grooming supplies, and private labels.
- Build a robust sourcing roadmap including alternate vendors, supplier consolidation, negotiation strategies, and long-term rate contracts.
- Own margin improvement via vendor negotiations, improved payment terms, logistic efficiencies, and smart replenishment.
- Oversee private label development supply chain including vendor filtration, sampling, quality checks & production monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with quality, legal, and ethical sourcing norms specific to Pet Care.
3. Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management:
- Build a demand forecasting mechanism in partnership with Category & Finance teams to ensure optimal stock availability across channels.
- Oversee national inventory health including ageing, expiry controls (pet consumables), stock turns, shrinkage, and safety stock norms.
- Own replenishment algorithms for Retail Stores, E-commerce, Grooming Centres, and Vet Clinics ensuring availability above 95%+ with minimal dead stock.
- Govern inter-warehouse, inter-store and return-to-vendor transfers for optimal stock utilisation.
4. Logistics, Fulfilment & Last-Mile Delivery:
- Lead national logistics operations including inbound, outbound, express delivery partners, hyperlocal, and marketplace fulfilment.
- Design scalable fulfilment modelsdark stores, regional hubs, quick commerce tie-ups, milk-run routing for grooming/vet supply kits, etc.
- Drive speed, service levels, cost-to-serve, and process excellence for last-mile operations.
- Identify and onboard 3PL partners, performance benchmarking and cost negotiations.
5. Retail & E-Commerce Operational Excellence:
- Own SOP creation and execution across all stores, grooming centres, and vet clinics for merchandise flow, stock hygiene, consumables planning, and supply-chain readiness.
- Drive store operations readiness for new launchesinventory planning, supply, logistics alignment, backroom design, and operational training.
- Oversee e-commerce operational metricsOTIF fulfilment, cancellation reduction, return management, warehouse accuracy, and customer promise.
- Ensure seamless operations for omnichannel servicesClick & Collect, Ship-from-Store, Endless Aisle, and Express Delivery.
6. Technology, Data & Automation:
- Champion digital transformation across supply chain using WMS, OMS, TMS, BI dashboards, inventory planning tools, and analytics.
- Drive automation initiativesbarcode audits, RFID trials, automated replenishment models, routing optimisation, and warehouse automation.
- Strengthen integration between SAP, WMS, marketplace panels, and ecommerce backend.
7. Quality, Compliance & Pet-Care Standards:
- Ensure all productsfood, treats, grooming consumables, medical suppliesadhere to pet-care safety, expiry, storage, and handling standards.
- Develop robust guidelines for cold-chain (medicines or wherever applicable), temperature-sensitive items, and high-value vet SKUs.
- Monitor hygiene and safety compliance across warehouses and stores.
8. Financial Management & Cost Optimisation:
- Own full P&L levers for Operations, Purchase & Logisticsinventory holding cost, logistics cost, wastage, manpower optimisation, and procurement savings.
- Build cost models for new cities, new stores, and regional warehousing decisions.
- Ensure monthly MIS, dashboards, variance analysis, and input for business reviews.
9. Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with Retail, Category Management, Vet Care, Grooming, Marketing, CRM, Finance and Projects Teams.
- Align operational readiness for campaigns, launches, promotions, and expansions.
- Support grooming and vet care teams with uninterrupted supply of consumables, equipment, medicines, and products.
10. People Leadership:
- Lead national teamsPurchase, Planning, Warehouse Managers, Logistics Leads, Store Operations, and E-com Fulfilment teams.
- Drive capability building in planning, analytics, vendor management, and operational efficiency.
