About Client:
Our Client is a startup quick commerce company who delivers two-wheeler spare parts. They aim to transform the automotive aftermarket in India by revolutionizing the spare part procurement process while providing component suppliers powerful insights which will help them grow their aftermarket business.
They are building a platform for mechanics to order spare parts for two wheelers directly to their workshops. Mechanics are key decision makers in part selection but have been under served due to their small and unorganized nature.
Client's app will offer the widest selection of parts at competitive prices, enabling mechanics to order spare parts directly instead of wasting time in sourcing. As the two wheeler market evolves with the influx of electric vehicles, we will future proof mechanics by training them on new technologies and spare parts.
Role Description
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Dark Store Operation Head. In this role, you will oversee and manage operations for multiple dark stores, Own all aspects of dark store & last-mile operations such as inbound, inventory management, outbound, manpower planning, rostering, training, employee engagement, vendor partnerships, COD management.
Your responsibilities will include:
Dark Store Management:
- Manage the overall operations of multiple dark stores.
- Ensure operational efficiency and smooth functioning of all dark stores, along with launch of new dark stores across city, as per the expansion plan.
- Meet delivery targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Team Management:
- Manage a team of delivery partners and warehouse staff.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Ensure staff are well-trained in company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Engage and motivate the team to achieve operational goals.
Inventory Management:
- Implement inventory control systems to accurately track and manage stock levels.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to minimize losses.
Vendor and Partner Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors and logistics partners to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and partners to maintain service levels.
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure high service levels.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.- Implement lean management principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement projects.
Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality of service.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency.
Manpower Management:
- Efficiently manage manpower to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Ensure effective deployment of staff to meet operational demands.
