Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Planning Manager to lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for large-scale industrial construction projects in Odisha. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Industrial Construction, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Iron & Steel projects with expertise in project planning tools, resource management, and progress monitoring. The role requires close coordination with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.

- Prepare project baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery schedules.

- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays.

- Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate schedule risks.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE, and project execution teams for effective planning.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.

- Track project milestones, deliverables, manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and material availability.

- Analyze productivity, resource allocation, and project performance to improve efficiency.

- Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.

- Participate in project review meetings and provide planning updates and recommendations.

- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project schedules.

- Maintain project documentation related to planning, scheduling, and reporting.

- Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and project specifications.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Certification in Primavera P6 will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- 8+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.

- Proven experience in Industrial Construction, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Iron & Steel, or EPC projects.

- Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.

- Understanding of project lifecycle, planning methodologies, and scheduling techniques.

- Knowledge of project controls, resource planning, and progress measurement.

- Familiarity with EPC project execution and construction sequencing.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage strict project deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Excellent coordination and decision-making skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning abilities.

- Willingness to work at project sites in Odisha.

- Experience in managing large-scale industrial construction projects is highly preferred.
