Onshore Construction has built a strong reputation over the past 30 years through excellence in large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. As part of our strategic diversification and growth initiatives, we are now expanding into the manufacturing sector, specifically the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) domain.
With India's rapid advancement in the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem, we are establishing a state-of-the-art PCB Assembly (PCBA) business, with operations based in Pune and Bangalore.
Our new vertical will offer:
- PCB Assembly (SMT & THT)
- Prototyping
- Box-Build / System Integration Services
In the first phase, our focus will be on consumer electronics and industrial clients, followed by expansion into automotive, medical, defense, and aerospace sectors.
To lead this initiative, we are looking for a seasoned and visionary Head of Business Development who will drive client acquisition, build strategic partnerships, and establish Onshore Construction as a strong player in the EMS sector.
Position Title: Head of Business Development
Location: Pune or Bangalore (Preferred)
Experience Required: 15-20 years (strictly in sales and marketing of Electronics Manufacturing Services / Electronics Contract Manufacturing Services)

Role Overview:
- We are seeking a senior and accomplished Business Development leader to drive the company's growth in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) domain.
- The role involves managing high-value domestic and international clients, expanding into strategic OEM partnerships, and leading business acquisition for PCB Assembly (SMT/THT/Testing) and Box-Build (System Integration) services.
- The ideal candidate will bring 15-20 years of exclusive EMS/ECM industry experience, strong client relationships across industrial, automotive, and medical electronics, and a proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Development
- Lead business acquisition and revenue growth for PCB assembly and box-build manufacturing services.
- Identify, engage, and onboard Tier-1 and Tier-2 OEM clients across industrial, automotive, and medical electronics verticals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies for both domestic and export markets.
- Drive revenue targets exceeding - 100 crore annually.
2. Key Account & Client Relationship Management
- Manage and grow high-value domestic and international accounts.
- Handle full-cycle commercial negotiations and ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
3. Market Development & Positioning
- Track industry trends in EMS, IoT, automotive electronics, and medical devices.
- Represent the company at trade shows, B2B expos, and conferences in India and overseas.
4. Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor the business development team.
- Coordinate with Directors for pricing, contracts, and strategic planning.
- Drive profitability and account governance.
Candidate Profile:
Mandatory Experience:
- 15-20 years of experience exclusively in EMS / ECM sales and marketing.
- Experience with companies such as Centum Electronics, Kaynes Technology, SFO Technologies, Avalon Technologies, or similar.
- Must have handled key accounts worth - 100 crore or more.
- Must have managed international/export client relationships.
- Strong network across industrial, automotive, and medical electronics sectors.
Technical & Commercial Skills:
- Deep understanding of PCB Assembly processes (SMT, THT, Testing) and Box-Build/System Integration.
- Expertise in technical sales, RFQ handling, and commercial negotiation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in Engineering / Science preferred.
- MBA / Postgraduate in Marketing or Business Management desirable but not mandatory.
Travel Requirements:
- Frequent domestic travel for client visits, business reviews, and industry events.
- Periodic international travel for key account management, export client meetings, and trade shows.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Annual sales and revenue growth from EMS/PCB/Box-Build services.
- Acquisition of new OEM clients and expansion into export markets.
- Customer retention rate and satisfaction.
- Margin and profitability management.
- Accuracy of forecasts and pipeline conversions.
