A. Reporting
1. The MGR-TSM is responsible / escalates to / seeks advice from the HD-TSM for managing and driving the Sales initiatives and the overall administration of the Sales and Marketing function.
B.1 Tendering
1. Entire cycle from tendering to order receipt is managed in-line with business requirements including formulation, modification and finalization of budgets for the projects
2. Consult MGR-PROJ to seeks an understanding on the scope of supply
3. Consult legal, commercial and taxation counterpart to understand the relevant clauses in the tender and obtain information on the same
4. Consult MGR-P&M for inputs related to equipment requirement in connection with the tenders
5. Consult MGR-PROC for obtaining current prices of tools, tackles and consumables
6. Consult MGR-HSE for understanding specific health and safety requirements in the tender document
7. Consult MGR-QAQC for understanding specific quality requirement in the tender document
8. Consult MGR-HR for understanding of the staffing cost on the project
9. Perform site visit to understand the nitigirties of the project prior to tendering
10. Obtain that the competitors information on bid
11. Obtain back-up offers from the sub-contractors
12. Create and maintain and archive tenders (Overall data related to tender for future and periodical reference)
13. Implement industry specific knowledge and metrics
14. Perform lost tender analysis create lessons log and communicate the same to concerns departments
1. Implement and manage sales plan to achieve the growth and profitability targets of the TSM function
2. Review Sales proposals and tender
3. Achieving growth and profitability targets of the TSM function
4. Explore new regions to expand, reach and grow TSM
5. Obtain periodic customer feedback and ascertain level of customer satisfaction and containment
1. Implement and manage, communication, branding and publicity related activities in line with the organizational goals
2. Implement, manage and ensure marketing activities such as;
- Organization Manual Roles and Responsibilities
- 2.1 Organizational and project awareness
- 2.2 Company broachers
- 2.3 Capability demonstration presentation
- 2.4 Pre-qualification
- 2.5 project related case studies
3. Monitor research initiatives, competitive analysis, advertising, promotions, in line with the organization goals
4. Implement marketing plan in-line with marketing budget
5. Implement long & short term marketing goals and track the market trends
1. Adhere to the processes applicable to the TSM function
2. Maintain an adequate departmental structure and staffing in line with the tendering, sales and marketing goals of the organization
3. Monitor and plan the overall affairs of the tendering, sales and marketing function, including budgeting, staffing, etc.
4. Monitor and plan the performance of his department team, as also their skills building and career development activities
1. Delegate authority to the department manager in relation to department activities
2. Designate a person in consultation with reporting authority to perform his role in his absence for a specified period.
1. Basic understanding of process and instrumentation diagram (P & ID), Isometric drawing etc.
2. Commercial experience (Marketing - Business Development - Offer preparation - Negotiation - Contracts - Execution) in the Tube & Pipe Field. Proven business development aptitude taking the lead on all commercial phases of business
3. Track record in managing multiple teams and projects on a multi country level, with a relevant successful track record in contract execution
4. Exposure to EPC organization encompassing all disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electricals & Instrumentation (E & I)
5. Interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with key internal involved and affected departments / functions / people, clients and staff at all levels
6. Self-reliant and autonomous with excellent leadership skills
7. Acumen to understand and interpret tender document
8. Communication skills
9. Knowledge of basic computer operation and hand-on experience on using office automation tools
