Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Sales Manager located in Pune.

The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales operations, managing customer relationships, and supervising the sales team.

This role involves meeting sales targets, identifying opportunities for sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction through after-sales service.

Coordinating with the marketing team to align strategies and training the sales team are also key responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:


- Actively contact and engage with prospective customers from pre-qualified leads shared by the company.


- Understand individual customer needs and recommend appropriate life insurance products.

- Conduct in-person or virtual meetings to explain product features, benefits, and terms.

- Assist clients through the complete sales cycle from proposal to documentation and policy issuance.

- Achieve monthly and quarterly individual sales targets for life insurance products.

- Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions, follow-ups, and closures in CRM tools.

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and build lasting relationships.

- Stay updated on product features, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory changes.

- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. underwriting, operations, customer service) to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing.

- Adhere to all compliance, documentation, and IRDAI regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

- 2 to 4 years of experience in life insurance sales or direct financial product selling.

- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.

- Result-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.

- Understanding of life insurance products, tax benefits, and financial planning basics.
