Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director - Taxation & Finance to manage end-to-end tax compliance, oversee financial reporting, and lead accounts payable operations. The candidate should have strong expertise in both direct and indirect taxation and prior experience in financial services industries.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Taxation & Compliance:

- Ensure the organization's operations and financial affairs remain fully compliant with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and statutory requirements, while proactively monitoring changes in legislation to mitigate risk and uphold governance standards.

- Manage timely and accurate compliance with direct and indirect tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)

- Handle tax disputes, audits, notices and represent the organization before various tax authorities.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, rules, and regulations, and assess their impact on the organization.

- Identify tax optimization opportunities and provide strategic advice on the applicability of various tax provisions.

- Coordinate with external consultants and tax authorities.

- Drive tax planning and risk management initiatives.

- Partner with different teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making.

2. Accounts Payable :

- Overview day-to-day Accounts Payable function

- Drive operational efficiency and process improvement

- Ensure timely processing of invoices and vendor payments

- Strengthening internal controls and improving the AP processes

3. Financial Reporting :

- Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

- Ensure compliance with IndAS and other relevant regulatory requirements of a listed company

- Manage internal and external audits

- Experience in designing, implementing, and overseeing internal financial controls and risk management frameworks, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and mitigation of financial risks.

- Provide financial insights and variance analysis to management

4. Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate with internal teams including Finance, Compliance, and Legal

- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulators

- Support leadership with data-driven insights

Skills Required :

- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience

- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxation

- Experience in Banking, NBFC, Fintech, or Broking industry

- Hands-on experience in accounts payable and financial reporting
