
About the Role:
ONDCs Transport vertical is transforming urban mobility across India.
With 81% of Indias metro ticketing capacity already live on ONDC, spanning nine major Metro Rail Corporations, and bus ticketing enabled across 21 cities, we are scaling rapidly.
We are looking for a highly motivated, outcome-driven Growth/Account Manager to accelerate this journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Onboarding: Work with Transport departments of state and union territories across India, and central ministries to digitise and onboard the Transit ticketing (Metro, Intracity Bus, Intercity Bus, Trains) on ONDC.
- Network Growth: Responsible for owning and driving transport category growth (orders per day) on the network.
- Buyer Apps Expansion: Identifying, engaging, and bringing onboard buyer apps for Transport.
- Building & Owning Relationships: Liaise with transport network participants, and other key stakeholders supporting the transport categories & use cases on the network.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including onboarding, engineering, products, and operations, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure the business objectives are met.
- Program/Project Management: Be a resourceful, go-getting multitasker, supporting initiatives across Transport.
- Track KPIs, performance metrics, and drive continuous improvements across Transport flows.
- Operations Management: Resolve day-to-day operational challenges by coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring the timely closure of issues.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in transport category management, preferably in metro or bus ticketing.
- Passionate about digital commerce, technology, and building solutions at scale.
- Strong understanding of Indias transport market landscape, market dynamics, and emerging tech.
- Self-starter with the ability to own targets, manage ambiguity, and drive outcomes independently.
- A tech and data-first problem solver.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in any discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in the transport category (flexible for exceptional candidates).
- Demonstrated success in business development, partner acquisition, or program management roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems across metro and bus ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of the digital commerce ecosystem and its application to transport.
- Direct experience in the Metro or Bus domain, with proven ability to navigate operational and stakeholder complexities.
- Ability to articulate ONDCs vision and mission to government departments, network participants, and industry stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated, with strong time management, prioritization, and organizational discipline.
