About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and dynamic Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys blending technical accounting expertise with business acumen. You will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, ensuring statutory compliance, and partnering with business teams to enable data-driven decision-making. The role offers a balance of Plant Finance, Business Finance, and
Strategic FP&A exposure-making it a great opportunity for professionals seeking a holistic finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Finance
- Manage and monitor all plant-level financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to provide meaningful financial insights for cost optimization and productivity improvement.
- Track plant KPIs, analyze cost variances, and implement control measures for improved profitability.
2. Business Finance, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Drive the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis process in collaboration with business and functional heads.
- Develop financial models and performance dashboards to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Evaluate business performance, profitability, and investment proposals using robust financial analysis.
- Partner with leadership to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
3. Month-End Closing & MIS Reporting
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial closure processes in line with accounting policies and timelines.
- Prepare and review MIS reports, highlighting trends, deviations, and actionable insights.
- Present data-driven analysis to management to support performance reviews and business planning.
4. Finalization of Accounts & Audit Management
- Ensure timely and accurate finalization of books of accounts as per statutory and Ind AS requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for seamless audit closures.
- Address audit observations, ensure proper reconciliations, and maintain complete audit documentation.
5. Taxation & Compliance
- Manage end-to-end compliance under Direct and Indirect Tax laws including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Prepare and review statutory returns, assessments, and responses to notices.
- Liaise with tax consultants and authorities to ensure timely and accurate compliance.
6. Accounts Payable & Internal Controls
- Oversee the complete Accounts Payable (AP) function, including invoice processing, vendor management, and disbursements.
- Strengthen internal control mechanisms to prevent errors, leakages, and policy deviations.
- Ensure timely reconciliations and vendor issue resolution.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and Taxation laws.
- Proven exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting in a manufacturing setup.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or equivalent).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate numbers into business insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams.
- High attention to detail, process orientation, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
