Investment Banker - BFSI / FIG (4-9 yrs)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a high-performing individual to support the execution of end-to-end investment banking transactions in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector. The role involves transaction execution, financial analysis, valuation, client engagement, and preparation of marketing and transaction materials. The candidate will work closely with senior bankers to originate and execute strategic advisory and capital market transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transaction Execution:

- Support end-to-end execution of investment banking transactions from origination to closure.

- Prepare client pitches, proposals, and transaction marketing materials.

- Perform financial analysis, valuation, and review of financial statements.

- Assist in due diligence and transaction documentation.

2. Research & Analytics:

- Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses.

- Conduct industry, market, and company research with a focus on the FIG sector.

- Track sector developments and support thought leadership and deal origination initiatives.

3. Client Engagement:

- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and drafting sessions.

- Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders for information flow and transaction documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

- CA / MBA / CFA

- 4-5 years of relevant experience in BFSI / FIG sector in Investment Banking.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and financial statement analysis skills.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and industry databases (Bloomberg, FactSet, VCCEdge, etc.)

- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and collaborative approach.
