This role ensures alignment across Group Finance, Business Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations, Taxation, Operations, and Regulatory Reporting functions.
You will serve as the CFO's "force multiplier"-enhancing decision quality, improving execution velocity, and strengthening governance frameworks across Nuvama's multi-entity, multi-business structure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Support the CFO in driving group-wide financial strategy, capital allocation decisions, and performance improvement initiatives across Wealth, Capital Markets, Lending, and Asset Management businesses.

- Drive preparation and consolidation of annual operating plan (AOP), budgets, and long-range plans across business units.
- Facilitate strategic reviews, ensuring that CFO's priorities are communicated and followed through.
2. Business Performance & Analytics:
- Partner with FP&A to deliver high-quality MIS, dashboards, and insights to the CFO.
- Conduct deep financial analysis for special projects: cost optimization, profitability improvement, capital efficiency, cash flow forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Support development of data-driven decision frameworks for new product/business evaluations.
3. Governance, Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure a strong governance rhythm across all finance sub-functions-monthly reviews, audit closures, board materials, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate with Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Legal for internal/external audits, regulatory inspections (SEBI, RBI, Exchanges), and policy updates.
- Monitor progress on remediation of audit findings, strengthening internal controls and process discipline.
4. CFO Office Management & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Act as a liaison between CFO and business CEOs, business finance heads, and functional leaders.
- Prepare executive communication-Board decks, ExCo presentations, financial narratives, investor updates.
- Lead or co-lead cross-functional initiatives (e.g., digitizing finance processes, policy modernization, automation of MIS and reporting).
- Enable the CFO to stay focused on critical initiatives-pre-empt issues, prioritize tasks, and streamline decision-making.
5. Special Projects & Transformation:
Support group-level transformations:
- Finance digitization (ERP/automation/analytics)
- Process redesign across treasury, reconciliation, revenue assurance, and reporting
- Cost management programs
- M&A financial diligence and integration
- Manage multi-stakeholder project committees and track progress on all CFO transformation initiatives.
6. People, Culture & Communication:
- Work with the CFO and HR to enhance capability building across the finance organization.
- Drive communication cadence-town halls, leadership connects, finance offsites.
- Help build a high-performance, transparent, and collaborative culture across the Finance function.
Qualification:
- CA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
- Experience working in financial services, NBFCs, wealth/asset management, capital markets, or other regulated entities.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, regulatory frameworks (SEBI, RBI, Exchanges), and multi-entity consolidation.
Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in Finance, Strategy, Consulting, Investment Banking, or Corporate Planning.
