Role Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the execution of financial transactions. This role involves financial analysis, due diligence, client interaction, and the creation of presentation materials.
The Associate / Senior Associate collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to provide clients with strategic insights in deal origination and help them achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Bankers in business development activities: Actively being involved from deal origination to execution to closure.
- Drafting client pitches and enabling in winning the mandate.
- Analyzing and understanding financial statements.
- Maintenance and preparation of financial models with specific Sector Knowledge and inputs.
- Support in ideation of Investment Banking transactions and tracking industry trends and update Senior Bankers.
- Conducting industry and Company specific research including supporting Thought Leadership initiatives.
- Attending Client Meetings and Drafting Sessions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, legal advisors, other banks, regulators, and other transaction stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile:
- MBA/PGDM in Finance from a reputed institution and/or a professional qualification such as CA/CFA preferred.
- 4 to 5 years of relevant Investment Banking experience, with exposure to the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and financial statement analysis, with hands on experience in transaction execution.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, along with financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Mergermarket, and VCCEdge.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ownership, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, transaction-driven environment.
