Position Overview: - As the Demand Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimising inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and driving revenue growth for our exclusive product offerings. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to forecast demand accurately and create actionable plans that drive business success. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to gather insights, historical data, and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for exclusive product lines. - Develop and maintain demand planning models that consider seasonality, promotional activities, market trends, and historical data. - Monitor and analyse market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging industry developments to adjust demand forecasts accordingly. - Utilise demand planning software and tools to generate accurate demand forecasts, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement. - Partner with the Supply Chain team to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and inventory levels, optimising inventory turnover and minimising stockouts. - Coordinate with Product Development to provide input on product lifecycle management and discontinuation decisions based on demand projections. - Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop promotional strategies that align with demand forecasts and maximise revenue opportunities. - Actively participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate demand insights, forecast accuracy, and potential risks or opportunities to the business. - Continuously refine and improve demand planning processes and methodologies to enhance accuracy and responsiveness to market changes. - Provide regular reports and updates to management, highlighting demand planning performance, forecast accuracy, and key business insights. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. - Years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles within the retail or ecommerce industry. - Proficiency in demand planning software and tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex data sets. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of retail and ecommerce trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. - Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data analysis tools. - Certification in supply chain management or demand planning (e.g., APICS, IBF) is a plus.
