The Lead Analyst - Financial Modeling & Fund Raising will support the development and financing of blue ammonia projects by leading financial analysis, valuation, capital raising, and project finance activities. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated financial models covering the entire blue ammonia value chain, including natural gas sourcing, hydrogen production, ammonia synthesis, carbon capture and storage (CCS), logistics, and commercialization.
The position will play a critical role in supporting investment decisions, debt and equity financing activities, lender and investor engagement, project valuation, and financial planning for large-scale low-carbon ammonia projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain integrated financial and economic models for blue ammonia projects, incorporating feedstock costs, plant performance, CCS economics, logistics, shipping, financing structures, and market pricing assumptions.
- Build project finance models to support debt raising, equity investments, and investment decision-making.
- Perform project valuation analyses using DCF, project finance, comparable company, and precedent transaction methodologies.
- Evaluate project economics under various market scenarios, including changes in natural gas prices, carbon pricing mechanisms, ammonia market dynamics, financing costs, and regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses, scenario modeling, and risk assessments to identify key value drivers and project risks.
- Support debt and equity financing activities by preparing lender presentations, investor decks, financial models, information memorandums, and due diligence materials.
- Assist in structuring and executing project financing transactions, including engagement with commercial banks, export credit agencies (ECAs), development finance institutions (DFIs), infrastructure funds, private equity investors, and strategic partners.
- Support capital raising initiatives, including debt syndication, equity placements, strategic investments, and joint venture financing.
- Analyze capital structure alternatives and financing strategies to optimize project returns and bankability.
- Support financial due diligence processes and coordinate information requests from lenders, investors, and advisors.
- Monitor funding markets, interest rate trends, energy transition investments, and capital market developments relevant to blue ammonia and low-carbon fuel projects.
- Prepare financial reports, investment analyses, financing recommendations, and presentations for executive management, shareholders, lenders, and investors.
- Collaborate closely with technical, commercial, project development, finance, and legal teams to ensure financial assumptions accurately reflect project realities.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA, CFA, CA, or equivalent finance qualification preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure finance, corporate finance, private equity, energy finance, or financial advisory.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale capital projects and debt/equity financing transactions.
- Experience in ammonia, hydrogen, LNG, natural gas, petrochemicals, carbon capture and storage (CCS), renewable energy, or energy infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
