Job Description:

An SAP Migration solution architect should be senior professional who designs, plans, and leads the technical and functional blueprint for moving SAP systems to new environments, such as S/4HANA or the cloud. Their role involves defining migration strategies, overseeing data migration, and ensuring the new architecture aligns with business goals, while also guiding project teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

- Strategy and planning: Define the migration strategy (e.g., brownfield, greenfield, or selective data transition) and create a detailed roadmap.

- Solution design: Architect the end-to-end solution, including the technical and functional design, and ensure it integrates with other systems and aligns with the client's IT strategy and SAP best practices.

- Technical oversight: Lead the design and implementation of the new architecture, which may include SAP S/4HANA, the HANA database, or cloud platforms.

- Data migration: Oversee the complex process of data migration, transformation, and reconciliation, using tools like SUM/DMO or SAP SLT.

- Client and team leadership: Act as the primary, customer-facing design leader, guide clients, provide expert recommendations, and lead technical teams through design decisions.

- Quality assurance: Ensure the consistency and quality of project deliverables, monitor key milestones, and assess business and IT readiness before go-live.

Essential skills and experience:

- Deep expertise in SAP migration methodologies, such as brownfield system conversion and selective data transition.

- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, HANA database, and core SAP modules.

- Experience with SAP migration tools, cutover planning, and data migration techniques.

- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and tools, including those from providers like AWS, and integration tools like SAP BTP, PI/PO, or CPI.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
