Novo Insurance Broking Services is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Compliance & Taxation to lead regulatory compliance, taxation, and financial governance across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring adherence to insurance regulations, tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage direct and indirect taxation processes, including filings, audits, assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

- Ensure the company complies with all applicable insurance industry regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.

- Oversee the timely submission of regulatory filings, statutory reports, and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Act as the primary liaison between the company, regulators, auditors, and tax authorities, managing relationships and ensuring effective communication.

- Strengthen and maintain internal control frameworks to mitigate financial and regulatory risks. Ensure that proper governance and risk management processes are in place.

- Lead and mentor a team of compliance and taxation professionals. Collaborate with senior management to define and implement compliance and taxation strategies aligned with business objectives.

- Monitor changes in tax laws, insurance regulations, and industry standards, recommending adjustments to internal policies and processes as necessary to stay compliant.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, taxation, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on financial services or insurance industries.

- Proven expertise in managing taxation processes (direct/indirect), audits, and regulatory reporting.

- Strong understanding of insurance industry regulations, financial governance, and statutory requirements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
