
Job Description Summary:
- The Associate Director, Call Plan and Alignment, is accountable for shaping and executing the strategic vision for customer engagement across all our International markets with focus on key markets. This role demands deep technical expertise in omnichannel engagement planning, call plan management, territory alignment, roster management and a sound understanding of end to end commercial operations, the ability to influence across geographies and make high impact decisions that drive business performance.
- The incumbent will lead large teams including delivery leads, subject matter experts and analysts, ensuring the design and delivery of call plan and field deployment solutions that drive superior customer engagement. The role will champion innovation, automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while fostering a culture of accountability and capability development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a Single point of contact (SPOC) for the stakeholders (across key markets) for call plan and territory alignment needs. Drive strong collaboration between AI Call plan product owners (IDS+), internal SMEs/capability teams (BSI) and country BE&E. Coordinate with IDS+ to ensure recommended call plan is rolled out on time for field feedback and further enhancements. Ensure approved call plans are available in the CRM ecosystem for engagement planning. Enable tracking and governance of call plan adherence for our HQ based teams
- Provide though leadership in designing and measurement of engagement KPIs
- Ensure alignment of territory structures with field-force size, vacancies, resourcing changes, new launches, and coverage expectations. Own governance for territory hierarchies, repHCP assignment etc.
- Manage periodic updates to reflect structural changes, long-term leaves, reorganizations, and HCP universe changes. Help create and maintain call plan and field deployment guidelines for
our key markets
- Partner with Business Excellences team in countries/regions and Field Performance Management team in HQ across Commercial, Finance, and Medical
- Provide advisory for Field deployment, GTM and launch initiatives. Lead enterprise level capability building in call plan, alignment, and field deployment. Support field transformation initiatives
- Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) Expertise
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders. Experience in shaping and executing enablement strategies that align with enterprise goals.
- Data-Driven Decision Making, Digital & Platform Fluence, Program & Project Management, Team & Capability Development, Governance & Compliance
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior leadership and operational teams; Ability to navigate organizational complexity and drive consensus in matrixed environments.
Essential Requirements:
Strategic and Technical Expertise:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial operations within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry
- At least 6 years leading & delivering call plan, territory alignment processes for big Pharma
- Sound understanding of call plan, field engagement processes and commercial datasets (Must have). Experience in developing and scaling call plan and field deployment solutions at enterprise level and agile product development methodologies (Preferred)
- Experience with sales data, field engagement data, call plan process, Omnichannel engagement planning (Must have) and Opportunity assessment and customer prioritization (Desired). Resource optimization, field size and structure design (Desired)
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams, including direct and indirect reports, with a focus on capability building and performance management
- Experience in governance and operational oversight, including operational excellence and innovation. Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across enabler organizations and business units.
- Strong background in program management, including the design and execution of transformation initiatives
- Experience managing AI-related projects and integrating emerging technologies into business processes is increasingly valued
- Familiarity with Rest of World (RoW) operations and the ability to tailor strategies across diverse markets, especially outside the US.
Location: Hyderabad NKC. Hybrid | 12 days a month in office is mandatory.
Preferred Work Experience: Minimum tenure 24 months in existing role.
