Function: Commercial, Pricing, Contracts, Credit Control, Order-to-Cash, Business Governance.
Role Purpose: The GM Commercial will own the complete commercial architecture of NMTronics machine and solution business - ensuring profitable growth, strong pricing discipline, robust contract governance, clean order-to-cash cycles, and enterprise risk control across SMT, Solar and EV verticals. This is a business leadership role, not a transactional back-office role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build deal governance framework to ensure profitable, risk-controlled closures.
- Define margin protection strategy for machine, automation, spares and service revenue.
- Partner with Sales, Finance and Operations to align commercial decisions with business goals.
Pricing, Costing & Profitability:
- Ensure margin benchmarking across principals / OEM partnerships.
- Control special pricing, deviation approvals and long-term contract profitability.
Contracts, Tenders & Risk Management:
- Customer contracts, tenders and legal terms.
- Payment milestones, LD clauses, warranties, guarantees and liabilities.
- Protect NMTronics against commercial and legal exposure.
- Standardize contract templates and approval matrices.
Order-to-Cash Ownership:
- Ensure milestone billing discipline and clean AR cycles.
- Drive reduction in receivables, overdue and bad-debt risk.
Credit Control & Working Capital:
- Improve cash flow, reduce working capital lock-ups.
- Monitor dealer, SI and key account credit exposures.
Principal / OEM Commercial Interface:
- Own commercial negotiations, margin structures, back-end rebates and compliance.
Team & Process Build-up:
- Implement SOPs, approval workflows and ERP discipline.
- Lead audits, compliance and commercial hygiene.
Miscellaneous:
- Manage commercial transactions under FTWZ (Free Trade Warehousing Zone) and MOOVR scheme, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Oversee SEZ customs clearance for import/export of machinery, capital goods, and related equipment. Ensure accurate documentation including BOE, shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, and statutory filings. Coordinate with customs authorities, SEZ officials, FTWZ operators, and logistics partners.
- Strong negotiation skills with freight forwarders and logistics service providers.
- Excellent communication with customers and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in dashboard creation and MIS reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value shipments with strict timelines.
- Commercial acumen with a focus on cost optimization and operational excellence.
Requirement:
Experience: 12-17years in B2B capital equipment / automation / engineering / industrial solutions.
Domain: SMT / Electronics Manufacturing / Automation / EV / Solar equipment strongly preferred.
Strength: Pricing, contracts, O2C, credit, OEM commercial handling.
Leadership: Has built commercial governance in growth-stage companies.
