Role Overview:
The Chartered Accountant role at Nivia Sports is a critical position responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves managing a team of accountants, working closely with the finance department, and reporting directly to the senior management. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, taxation, auditing, and cost accounting, contributing significantly to the company's financial health and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insightful analysis to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to develop realistic and achievable financial plans that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, managing tax planning, filing, and audits to minimize tax liabilities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems, providing accurate cost data to support pricing decisions and improve profitability.
- Mentor and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and provide insightful recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Strong understanding of auditing standards and procedures, ensuring the integrity of financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong academic background in accounting and finance.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
