Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability targets for the assigned business unit.
- P&L Management: Take full ownership of the business unit's Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, managing revenue, expenses, and profitability to achieve financial goals.
- Sales & Distribution: Drive sales and distribution efforts through various channels (e.g., direct sales, agency, brokers, partnerships) to expand market reach and acquire new customers.
- Product Management: Oversee the management and development of health insurance products, ensuring they meet customer needs, are competitively priced, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Operations Management: Ensure efficient and effective operations within the business unit, including underwriting, claims processing, policy administration, and customer service.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure the business unit operates in full compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in the Health Insurance industry, with a strong focus on business development, sales, and operations.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and profitability targets.
- In-depth understanding of health insurance products, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape in India.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and data analysis tools.
