Position Description: Director, Learning & Development Data & Technology
- The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong track record of adult learning design in a global organisation.
- Experience consulting with diverse stakeholders on learning needs, designing and managing iterative and scalable learning experiences, and making data-driven decisions to refine and optimise programs is a must for this position.
- This individual will push the boundaries of adult learning by being a pioneer in staying at the cutting edge of learning technology, disrupting the ways our learners learn, especially with the emergence of the next generation of workers.
- This must also be balanced with the realities of implementation constraints, and therefore, this individual must be adept at using constraints as catalysts for innovation.
Responsibilities:
Learning Strategy & Consulting: Acts as a Learning Consultant and develops holistic learning strategies
and plans for designated personas under the direction of the Vice President, Learning & Development.
Needs Analysis & Roadmapping: Leads discovery and iterative learning needs analyses, develops learning solutions and articulates a clear vision and roadmap.
Program Design & Delivery: Oversees and steers the planning, design, delivery and measurement of learning experiences with an iterative approach, ensuring alignment with the overall learning strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engages stakeholders, including business sponsors, leaders, subject matter experts, and People & Capability, to gather learning needs, ensure alignment with program objectives, provide updates, and gain their buy-in.
Learner Communication: Proactively engages with learners and serves as the primary point of contact for all portfolio-related inquiries and communications.
Go-to-Market Execution: Drives the go-to-market strategy for owned portfolio, ensuring tight orchestration across L&D.
Continuous Improvement: Monitors and evaluates learning experiences through feedback mechanisms, prioritising and implementing continuous improvement processes to enhance program performance and outcomes.
Budget Management: Actively manages the budget for learning offerings, ensuring alignment with projections.
External Perspective: Brings external and forward-looking perspectives on talent development for designated personas.
Quality Assurance: Ensures that all L&D program deliverables meet required quality standards and specifications.
Measurement & KPIs: Aligns KPIs with the learning measurement strategy, closely tracks them and offers timely recommendations to ensure targets are reached.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong consulting and strategic thinking skills with a demonstrable record of translating needs into actionable, scalable recommendations.
- Proven track record of managing and demonstrating the business impact of L&D initiatives.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and direct cross-functional teams as an individual contributor and drive alignment at various levels.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling and influencing skills, particularly with technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing and partnering closely with vendors, ensuring accountability.
- Self-directed and comfortable working with a distributed team of Program Managers, Learning Designers, and Learning Delivery Specialists.
- Expertise in software development is a plus.
