Title: General Manager-Procurement
Experience : 10-15 Years
Reports To: Head-Supply Chain & Procurement
Role Pre-requisites: Customer and supplier facing experience. 10-15 years equivalent procurement experience.

- Bringing Cost Productivity.
- Conformance to established process and defined policy.
- Capable end to end effective sourcing, procurement and import clearance process.
- Effective Vendor Management
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree, Business Administration, SCM/Procurement related course/Six Sigma (Green Or Black belt Certification).
- 5 years experience in Procurement, Having knowledge of Raw material, Packing material will be added advantage.
- Agro-chemical industry is most preferable
KPI's:
- Cost Productivity & Cost Avoidance - Drive measurable savings through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering initiatives.
- Inventory Management - Optimize inventory days in line with defined targets to balance working capital and supply assurance.
- Supplier OTIF Performance - Ensure On-Time, In-Full, On-Quality delivery adherence to maintain operational continuity.
- Purchase Order Governance - Monitor PO ageing, compliance, and adherence to procurement policies and controls.
- Operational Efficiency - Minimize production changeovers through effective planning and procurement alignment.
- Procurement Agility - Maintain responsiveness to market volatility, demand fluctuations, and supply disruptions.
- Accountable for fulfilling short- and mid-term demand generated by Sales & Marketing at optimal total cost, aligned with business strategy, quality standards, and on-time delivery commitments.
- Lead end-to-end procurement of raw materials, intermediates, emulsifiers, solvents, packaging materials, and contract manufacturing for domestic inhouse manufactured technical intermediates.
- Procurement agility to meet any abnormality. Keep Safety stock concept in Packing Material and selective Raw materials, seasonal/non-seasonal raw material stock keeping which have higher cost and availability variability. Effective Review and and strict adherence to it.
- Develop and execute the Annual Procurement Plan aligned with business case projections, ensuring disciplined budgeting, cost control, and rigorous performance monitoring.
- Oversee Procure-to-Pay (P2P) governance, ensuring process adherence, SOX compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across procurement operations.
- Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance across procurement activities including DGFT, CIB, Legal Metrology, QMS, RMS, hazardous and non-hazardous chemical sourcing guidelines.
- Monitor purchase order health, supplier delivery performance (On-Time, In-Full, On-Quality), effective master data governance and inventory accuracy to maintain defined inventory targets and working capital optimization.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, and Manufacturing to align procurement strategy with B2B and B2C business plans and ensure timely new product introductions.
- Leverage SAP and planning tools to drive visibility, scenario simulations, risk identification, and data-driven decision-making. Develop and maintain SCM KPI MIS.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing procurement teams, embedding disciplined processes and continuous improvement culture across sourcing and import management.
